Healthy Bread!
I've loved Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day, and I've been using a version of the master subbing 2c of white whole wheat that we've really liked. I've noticed though, the kids really like a softer sandwich bread, and I really like the idea of using more whole grains. So I was thrilled when I received Jeff and Zoe's Healthy Bread!
The first we tried was the master, and then the whole wheat flax seed. My husband's loves flaxseed, so that's been the favorite here :) (That's the wwflax in the front and the master in the back).
I'm really excited about the book - especially the gluten free and whole grain and the pumpkin brioche.
A little off topic, my birthday was almost a month ago now, but I go the best gifts this year!
Greweling's Chocolates and Confections
Shott's Artisan Chocolates
Ferber's Mes Confitures
Carroll's Home Cheesemaking
Smith's Making Artisan Cheeses
Jeavon's How to Grow More Vegetables...
Rodales Successful Organic Gardening: Vegetable and Fruit & Berries
some chocolate molds - half sphere, tablet and the hexagonal dome
I'm so excited! I can't wait to get everything painted around here so I can play!

Cinnamon sugar biscotti
So we ran into some plumbing issues that delayed the whole move until this past Sunday, instead of before Christmas, but we'd already switched our phone and internet so.... I'm really behind :) I've not yet found my copy of Baking, but it looks like there are copies online, so hopefully I'll be back for TWD next week!
Finally, here's one treat from Christmas that I think I'll be making year-round. We really liked these
cinnamon sugar biscotti
from epicurious. I ended up leaving off the cinnamon-sugar dusting, just for cleaner eating with the kids. They smell wonderful while baking, perfect for snow days!
