HBin5 Bread Braid #7
For the HBin5 Bread Braid #7, we had the Avocado-Guacamole bread and Pesto Pine Nut bread. Both hearty, snack-able breads!
No substitutions for the avocado bread, and my husband liked it. It was ok for me, I liked the hint of garlic. I think maybe I need to try it with some cheese...
For the Pesto, I subbed walnuts for the pine nuts, and I used Trader Joe's pesto. My dough turned out really wet for this one, so my loaf is a little odd. I think this would be great with a pasta dinner. It was good right out of the oven, but I liked it even better toasted with some butter. I think this could be great for sandwiches, too!

Your loaves are beautiful! I made rolls and pizza crust with the pesto and we especially liked it. Loved the avocado bread for sandwiches. It is a bit bland but I found it worked great as a focaccia.
Your loaf turned out really well! I agree, this would taste wonderful with a pasta dinner.
the posted loafs look great. Nothing like a sandwich when the hunger gets a grip of you. These loafs are the perfect canvas for such a sandwic
I toast most breads, I think just a simple toasting improves the flavor so much.
I really should make more loaves of bread or maybe less buns!
looks great and love the photpgraphy
Looks really nice..........great job!!!
Your bread looks really good. I made focaccia with the pesto pine nut dough and it tasted really good that way.
Your breads look great. I made a baguette with the pesto bread and made some bruschetta. It is one of my favorites so far.
Such beautiful loaves! I like the avocado bits showing in your guacamole bread. You can't beat a good slice of toast. I bet your pesto bread would make awesome "garlic bread"
Your breads turned out great. I was particularly partial to the pesto.
